Guided Therapy

WITH ELLEN NEAL

Hello,

I am Ellen. For one reason or another, you’ve made your way here. Whatever the reason is, I want you to know this — your thoughts, feelings, secrets…are safe with me.

Everybody has thoughts. Everybody has feelings and secrets. Sometimes, they can create challenges for us. Sometimes, they create challenges for those around us. Sometimes the thoughts, feelings or secrets of someone else can affect us. Sometimes, these things can even take control of a person’s life. It’s not uncommon, and if you’re struggling with your thoughts, feelings, secrets or relationships, you’re not the only one.

I’ve seen a lot. Life creates a lot of challenges for a lot of people. But problems get worse when a person keeps them bottled up. Or worse yet, they want to share them but they have no one or nowhere to do it. A person may feel sad, angry, anxious, or even numbness. They might feel alone. They might feel overwhelmed. They might engage in compulsive behavior. They might feel hindered by their situation or relationships. They might have seen or experienced something that changed them forever. In any case, everyone deserves a space to work through their challenges, and an opportunity to share them.

Guided Therapy

My clients are individuals who are committed to finding relief from their pain and struggles. They’ve lived life this way for long enough and are ready for change. I work with them one-on-one. Together, we build a space for them to work through their thoughts, feelings, and secrets through guided therapy.

Every person is unique. So it makes sense that every person has their own story and challenges. Guided therapy is essentially your journey — a way to tell your story and use its clues to address your challenges. I am your guide on this journey, and our meetings create the space for it to take place. The destination is a better life, and I have a track record of helping people get there.

Guided therapy is not an overnight fix to a problem. It’s not a recipe or formula. It’s not a step-by-step template or a checkbox for a diagnosis. It’s an open-ended journey. It has to be, because every person is unique, remember? Therefore, it’s based on your shared experience. That means, when you think something, I think with you. When you feel something, I feel what you feel. When you re-visit an experience, I go with you. Your thoughts, feelings and experiences take up space. Over time, they get clustered and tangled. The shared experience is a release — it frees up space in the body and mind.

This Is Your Journey

I mentioned earlier about the goal of a better life. What exactly that means is up to you. You get to define your goals, and you get to decide what you want out of therapy. As we share your experience together, as you free up space in your body and mind, we start to see and discover clues along the way. As your guide, I use various techniques and expertise to direct us to your preferred destination by recognizing the most important clues. We move at your pace, and we use your goals as checkpoints.

Maybe you don’t have specific goals defined today. Maybe you aren’t sure where to start. That’s ok. What you do know is that you want to feel better. Consider creating a safe space for your journey today. You may be surprised at where you can go.

Be kind to yourself.
